36	2 Sep	Separating Mixtures - salt and sand How to carry out the following: dissolving, filtering, evaporating Identifying the properties of different substances which allow them to be separated from a mixture.  Using the solubility of salt in water (and insolubility of sand) to separate a mixture.  Use the appropriate apparatus to safely produce pure salt.  To draw scientific diagrams of each part of the process	dissolve filter evaporate	Draw the 2-D diagrams of the three steps of our experiment in to your notebook.
