- be able to explain what molecular bonding is
- identify molecular compounds
- work out simple formulae for molecular compounds

- identify cations and anions
- work out simple formulae for ionic compounds

Week 13 Grade 8 Chemistry
Wednesday March 25th 8.15-9.45 and 12.30-14.00
By the end of the lesson you should
- identify reactivity patterns in the Periodic Table in the main groups (alkali metals, halogens and noble gases)
- explain the reactivity in terms of the electrons in the outer shell

The Periodic Table and Reactivity
In this lesson you will learn about patterns in the arrangement of the Periodic Table and how they relate to the elements in each Group (column) and Row (period).
You will need your notebook, and a copy of the Periodic Table. If you have a printer, here is a copy.
