Missed lesson

Missed lessons: it is your responsibility to catch up with the work before the next lesson. This is in the school rules. It is also really important if you want to have all the work for tests. You will not get any sympathy or test concessions if you do not catch up as the resources are here !

27 JanWhat are forces ?

Forces are interactions between objects; contact and non-contact forces
Electromagnetic force; gravitational force
(strong nuclear; weak nuclear)
Forces have size and direction - vectors
Forces cause changes in motion; Newton's First Law. Resultant forces.

Thursday lesson
In Oulu, we are spinning at a velocity of 185m/s about the Earth's axis.
(a) what is this in km/h  (easier part)
(b) how far do we travel in 24 hours (trickier)
(c) optional - why don't we feel like we are moving so fast ? (thinking part)
